[ARCHIVED] July 4 "Non-refusal weekend"

The 4th of July weekend is a “non-refusal weekend”. Motorist stopped for suspicion of driving while impaired can not to refuse to be tested. If they refuse to provide a sample of their breath or blood, a search warrant will be issued to take a blood sample from them. The Bellaire Police Department along with other area law enforcement will have officers working on overtime program focusing on impaired drivers over the 4th of July weekend. If you drink, don’t drive. Call a friend, call a taxi, or you’ll be calling a bondsman.
