COVID-19

Social Distancing and
COVID-19 Updates

We encourage you to continue to practice social distancing when taking walks, visiting open spaces or talking to neighbors. Everyone has a role to play to reduce and slow the transmission of COVID-19. Social distancing is an essential step in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Practice social distancing by putting space (at least 6 feet) between yourself and others.

Please continue to check the City's website for updates regarding COVID-19 and City services.  https://www.bellairetx.gov/1660/COVID-19

Park Enhancements

While the play structures and park equipment are closed in our parks, we are taking advantage of the downtime to install some previously scheduled park/playground enhancements. These include additional swings at Evergreen Park, a climbing apparatus and Music Ball at Feld Park and some dog play features in Officer Lucy Dog Park. These enhancements were generously funded by the PATRONS for Bellaire Parks.

The installation of the equipment is within the approved parameters of commercial construction activity in the Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s Stay Home-Work Safe order.  We are excited to have these new features for you to enjoy when we re-open the play structures.

For more information please contact Bellaire Parks Recreation and Facilities at 713-662-8280.
