City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and City Council. The City Clerk participates in the administration of city elections through Harris County.

General Responsibilities include:

  • Recording and editing minutes of meetings
  • Plan and direct the maintenance, filing, safekeeping, and computerization of all city documents
  • Issue public notification of all official activities and meetings 
  • Maintain and update documents such as the City Code of Ordinances
  • Prepare meeting agendas and packets of related information
