Overview

The Bellaire Recreation Center has several rooms that can be rented for meetings, birthday parties, camps, and athletic events. Each room has unique features, which are listed in the tabs below. Recreation Center rooms can only be reserved outside of the Recreation Center's operating hours.

Meeting Room

The meeting room is carpeted with a large dry-erase board and a counter with a sink. This is an ideal choice for a small, business-oriented occasion. 

Audio-Visual Features: TV with USB/HDMI connection

Capacity: approx. 15-20 people

Note: This space can only be reserved outside of Recreation Center operating hours, subject to availability.


Meeting Room

Rental Fees

A minimum of three (3) hours is required for all indoor facility rentals. Rental time must include set-up, clean-up, and any equipment drop-off/pickup.

*Security deposits are refundable if no damages or penalties are incurred. Security deposits are not applied toward the rental fee.

Reservations

Rental requests must be submitted a minimum of one (1) month in advance but no more than twelve (12) months prior to the reservation date requested. All facility reservations have a minimum 3-hour reservation requirement.

Recreation Center facilities are only reservable outside of operating hours, subject to staffing and room availability. Facilities may not be reserved on holidays or holiday weekends.

Deposit

A deposit and a signed permit application are required to make a reservation. The total fee must be paid in full by cash, check, or credit card two weeks before the rental.

Special Events

A special event permit may be required if the rental meets one or more of the following criteria: 

  • Open to the public
  • Has 50 or more people in attendance
  • Has alcohol

Additional permits, security, or documentation may be required at the renter’s expense to issue a special event permit.

Alcohol

Serving alcohol during a rental requires:

  • Alcohol Beverage Permit issued by the City of Bellaire
  • Special Event Permit issued by the City of Bellaire
  • Special event insurance with The City of Bellaire listed as additionally insured
  • Approved security for the event

Non-Profits & Organizations

Rental rates are discounted for non-profits and organizations in Bellaire. Groups must have 501 (c) (3) status and a two-thirds majority of Bellaire Residents. Please contact Bellaire Parks and Recreation for more information.

Tables and Chairs

Tables and chairs (subject to availability) are included in the rental price for the Bellaire Recreation Center. All other tables and chairs must be rented through an outside vendor, not the City of Bellaire.
